The Teen Parenting Education and Employment Program provide supports to older teens to bridge the gap between the world of the classroom, parenting and the world of work. The students take GED, computer technology, life skills, parenting, physical education, arts classes and participate in financial literacy, health and nutrition and a variety of empowerment workshops. This six month full day program also includes family activities, trips and an eight week job search component. An annual prom and graduation ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of the young mothers. The program seeks to empower young mothers, between the ages of 18 and 21 currently living on public assistance, towards independence.
